«Microsoft is committed to advancing accessible technologies, expanding training and employment opportunities for people with disabilities, and advocating for policies that recognize accessibility as a fundamental right. As part of this commitment, Microsoft Switzerland is working closely with EnableMe to raise public awareness around Microsoft's accessible tools and technologies. One of the key collaborations with EnableMe involved testing our latest AI-powered Surface laptops with Swiss students representing a variety of disabilities. The project delivered strong business value and supported our product development with well-founded recommendations to improve accessibility.»

Example Use Cases - How can EnableMe Insights help you?
-
Banking for Everyone
A bank wants to ensure that its e-banking service is accessible to all. To do so, it plans to test its mobile banking with a diverse, representative panel of people with disabilities. We define the questions, recruit a panel of 100 participants and carry out systematic product testing. The resulting insights are analysed and translated into concrete recommendations to improve the platform’s accessibility. This mirrors similar work we have done with Microsoft, where we tested AI-powered devices with students with different disabilities to ensure digital accessibility.
-
Accessible Travel right from the Start
A rail company aims to make its new vehicle fleet fully accessible from day one. In the past, retrofitting trains with ramps and other adjustments for people with physical disabilities cost them millions. Now, they want to integrate accessibility into the design process, both to reduce costs and meet their corporate responsibility goals. We recruit 30 participants with specific physical disabilities for qualitative interviews, focus groups and prototype testing to ensure the new trains are accessible to all. In a project with the Swiss Federal Railways, we similarly identified digital accessibility gaps through hands-on testing with people with diverse disabilities.
-
Real Estate Platform for Everyone
An online real estate platform wants to better serve people with disabilities. They seek to understand which accessibility needs are currently unmet in the search, filtering and presentation of property listings. We recruit a representative panel of people with disabilities and conduct qualitative interviews to identify their specific needs. Based on these insights, we provide concrete recommendations for improvements. Later, we conduct follow-up product tests on the revised platform with the same user group.

«In 2023 we engaged with the team at Enable Me to support Open Inclusion with global research we were running on disability representation. Enable Me was very responsive and supported us throughout the survey design and delivery. They managed the interpretation into German that was both culturally as well as linguistically suitable for the communities in Germany, Switzerland and Austria. They then worked closely with their community to engage a significant number of respondents to the survey within the timeframes required and with high quality responses. We really enjoyed and appreciated the professionalism of the engagement throughout the research process.»
